AGM FoxBat-5 Features The AGM FoxBat-5 is built around a Gen 2+ White Phosphor Level 1 image intensifier tube which means users get a brighter higher contrast image than older generation tubes typically provide in low light. Its bi-ocular design routes that single tube s image through a beam splitter to both eyepieces reducing eye strain during extended observation sessions compared to a monocular. The 140mm objective lens gathers substantial light for its class supporting the unit s 5x magnification across a 9.40 degree field of view. A diopter adjustment range of negative 5 to positive 5 lets users dial in focus to match their own eyesight without external corrective lenses. A detachable infrared illuminator extends the FoxBat-5 s effective range into complete darkness making it useful well beyond simple starlight conditions. The built in bright light shut-off protects the image intensifier tube from damage if the unit is exposed to a sudden bright light source extending its service life. Running on two AA batteries the unit delivers up to 40 hours of continuous operation which is enough for extended observation sessions without a battery change. Weighing 2.35 lbs and measuring 11 inches long the FoxBat-5 includes a tripod lens cloth and hard case rounding out a complete night vision package for sale at GrabAGun.
