AGM UNVG Features The AGM UNVG can be outfitted with either a Gen 2 plus or Gen 3 high performance image intensifier tube giving buyers a choice between value and top tier low light performance. Manual gain control lets the user adjust image brightness on the fly maintaining the highest possible image quality as ambient light shifts from dusk to full darkness. A bright light cut off feature automatically protects the sensitive photocathode tube when it is suddenly exposed to a bright light source extending the usable life of the intensifier. An integral infrared illuminator is built in as well allowing the user to read a map or check gear in complete darkness without giving away a visible light signature. The independent movement of each optical pod allows the UNVG to run in either single eye or dual eye configuration so the operator can choose full depth perception or conserve battery by running just one tube. Each pod automatically shuts off when flipped up out of the way saving battery life during breaks in observation. Power comes from a single AA battery for up to 15 hours of runtime or from the included external battery pack for up to 50 hours of extended use in the field.
