AGM UNVG-51 Features The AGM UNVG-51 uses a Gen 3 auto gated white phosphor 3APW intensifier tube rated at 64 to 72 lp/mm resolution delivering a sharp high contrast image even in very low ambient light. Advanced multi coated optics paired with a 51 degree field of view give the user a wide field of regard that standard tunnel vision style goggles cannot match which matters for situational awareness while moving. Manual gain control lets the operator adjust image brightness on the fly as lighting conditions change keeping the picture usable from near total darkness to brighter moonlit terrain. An integral infrared illuminator adds the ability to read maps or equipment labels without a separate visible light source. Independent movement of each tube pod allows the UNVG-51 to run in single eye or dual eye configuration depending on the mission and each tube automatically powers down when its pod is rotated sideways extending runtime. A single AA alkaline battery powers the unit for up to 15 hours while the included external battery pack extends operation to as much as 50 hours for longer missions. The goggles mount to standard dovetail headset or helmet systems and the compact composite housing keeps the whole package durable yet manageable in weight at 1.2 lbs.
