AGM PVS-14 NW2 Features The AGM PVS-14 NW2 is built around a Gen 2+ White Phosphor Level 2 intensifier tube that delivers a resolution of 45 to 57 lp per mm producing a sharp high-contrast monochrome image in low light conditions. A 25mm objective lens and a 40 degree field of view give the user a wide usable image area for situational awareness in the dark. Manual gain control lets the operator adjust the brightness of the image to match ambient light conditions while a built-in infrared illuminator and flood lens extend usability into near total darkness. An automatic bright light shut-off feature protects the sensitive photocathode tube from sudden flashes of bright light extending the service life of the unit. At 12.4 ounces and a compact 4.5 inch length the PVS-14 NW2 is light enough to wear for extended periods whether handheld worn on the included head harness or mounted to a helmet with the proper adapter. A diopter adjustment range of negative 6 to positive 2 lets users with imperfect vision dial the focus in without wearing glasses underneath the unit. Battery life reaches up to 40 hours on a single AA alkaline battery giving operators long runtime between changes in the field. The unit ships with a full accessory package including a head mount assembly brow pad eye cup daylight filter soft carrying case and operator s manual rounding out a complete night vision system.
