The DAKINE Wristguard Youth Glove adds removable rigid nylon plates to the backhand and palm, built to soften the impact of a hard fall without locking up a kid's grip on a pole or a rail. A DK Dry waterproof insert and high-loft synthetic insulation handle the cold weather side of the job underneath. The plates come out when a milder day calls for more flexibility, so the glove can flex between first turns and bigger days on the hill. What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"My kid went down hard learning to link turns and popped right back up, glove intact, wrist fine. That one fall told me more about these gloves than any spec sheet could."
