Henry H9 Protector Carbine Features The Henry H9 Protector Carbine takes the classic lever-action profile and refines it into a compact rifle that feels at home riding behind a truck seat or slung across the shoulder while checking fence lines. Its 16.5 inch barrel is easier to maneuver in tight spaces than a full-length lever gun letting the rifle come to the shoulder quickly when it matters most. A transfer bar safety allows the rifle to be carried with a round in the chamber and the hammer down adding a real margin of everyday safety. Threading on the barrel further extends its versatility for shooters who want to add a muzzle device down the road. The American walnut stock is shaped with a checkered pistol grip for a secure hold and a ventilated rubber recoil pad on the buttstock manages the recoil of the .360 Buckhammer cartridge over repeated strings of fire. Sling swivel studs let the rifle be carried comfortably over long stretches in the field a practical touch for anyone who spends a full day walking fence lines or hunting ground. The receiver being drilled and tapped for Weaver 63B mounts means an optic can be added without gunsmithing extending the rifle s usefulness into low light or longer range shots. Every detail on the Protector Carbine points toward a lever gun meant to be used not just admired.
