"Women's On® Cloud X Tempo: The Women's On Cloud X Tempo is a neutral cross-training shoe built for women who move between the gym floor and the road without wanting to swap footwear in between. It pairs On's Helion™ Superfoam midsole - a dual-density foam with a softer top layer - with Training-Optimized CloudTec® cushioning to give you a smooth, cushioned feel during cardio while staying stable enough for lateral movements and quick direction changes. At 8.78 oz with an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop, it sits in a comfortable middle ground: light enough to feel quick, grounded enough to feel controlled. The 3-Tone Engineered Mesh upper uses 3D print detailing to balance breathability and lockdown, so the fit stays secure without feeling restrictive. A soft knit tongue adds comfort at step-in, and the cupped heel keeps your foot in place when you're cutting side to side. The rubber outsole handles both gym surfaces and road use reliably. Rounding out the build is the CleanCloud® Speedboard - a midsole component crafted from transformed carbon emissions that keeps the shoe light while reducing its environmental footprint. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took the Cloud X Tempo through a circuit class that mixed box jumps, lateral band work, and some light running between stations. What stood out was how stable it felt during the side-to-side stuff - I wasn't fighting the shoe at all. The cushioning held up through the whole session without feeling like I was sinking into the midsole."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you train across multiple formats - strength sessions, cardio, HIIT, or short runs - and want one shoe that handles all of it without compromise, the Cloud X Tempo is worth a close look. It suits neutral-footed women who want responsive cushioning underfoot and a secure fit during dynamic movements. The road-and-gym surface versatility makes it a practical choice if your workouts don't fit neatly into one category.
