"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I like the Fastpack II WP for its mix of easy adjustability and real trail performance. The quick-lace system makes gearing up simple, and the waterproofing works well on muddy hikes. The outsole grips better than most youth shoes, and the toe cap adds solid protection on rocky terrain.""We turn to the Fastpack II Waterproof Hiking Shoe from The North Face when young explorers need a waterproof shoe that feels light, secure, and ready for the trail. The DRYVENT membrane protects against wet grass, shallow puddles, and drizzly mornings, while the padded collar, tongue, and ankle ensure comfortable support mile after mile. Pull loops at the heel and tongue make it simple to slip on, and the quick-lace system lets kids tighten the fit with ease. Built with a ripstop upper and reinforced mudguard and toe cap, the Fastpack II WP stands up to scrapes, roots, and rugged trail play. A cushioned EVA midsole keeps things soft underfoot, and the SURFACE CTRL outsole—made with recycled rubber—adds trail-ready traction for dirt, gravel, and slick surfaces. Lightweight, waterproof, and protective, this shoe helps young adventurers move confidently wherever the trail leads."
