Dead Air Armament Direct Thread Brake Mount Features The Dead Air Armament Direct Thread Brake Mount is machined from stainless steel with a black nitride finish for exceptional corrosion resistance and surface hardness through sustained fire and repeated suppressor attachment cycles on .22 caliber platforms. The external muzzle brake design significantly reduces felt recoil for faster follow-up shots while simultaneously optimizing gas flow into the suppressor s blast chambers minimizing focused baffle erosion and maximizing sound suppression performance over the suppressor s service life. The 1/2x28 thread pattern provides direct compatibility with the most common .22 caliber threaded barrel standard for a straightforward no-adapter installation. The HUB taper on the included muzzle brake provides a direct precise interface with HUB-compatible suppressors combining high-performance muzzle braking with a precision-engineered direct thread adapter in a single compact device. Black nitride finish penetrates the stainless steel surface for wear resistance that holds up through extended field use and thermal cycling without adding dimensional bulk. For .22 caliber shooters running HUB-compatible suppressors the DTB delivers a dual-function solution that improves both shooting performance and long-term suppressor health.
