What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore the G Air Gloves on a ski mountaineering tour last spring, and they were dialed for the whole ascent. The windproof back kept the chill off my hands while the breathable palm let enough heat out that I never felt overheated, and the silicone grip on the palm gave me solid purchase on my pole grips all the way to the top."There is a sweet spot in mountain glove performance that is easy to miss in either direction. Too warm and your hands sweat through the approach, too light, and the cold catches up with you on the exposed sections. The C. A. M. P. G Air Glove lands squarely in that sweet spot, combining PrimaLoft insulation and a windproof back with a breathable palm construction that keeps your hands comfortable whether you are grinding up a skin track or standing at a belay in the wind. At 55 grams, the G Air Glove barely registers on the scale, which makes it a natural choice for high-output alpine days where every gram in your kit gets scrutinized. Silicone grip inserts on the palm hold onto tools, poles, and ice axes with real confidence, and touchscreen compatibility on the thumb and index finger means you can check your GPS, take a photo, or send a message without pulling your gloves off in the cold. This is not a glove built for extreme cold in isolation, but paired with a warmer layer in your pack, it covers an enormous range of mountain conditions from a spring ski mountaineering ascent to a summer alpine route where the temperature can move twenty degrees in either direction over the course of a day.
