The Winchester Model 1873 was nicknamed “The Gun That Won the West” and was an instant success upon its release. The Model 1873’s immense popularity was largely due to the fact that it was chambered in popular handgun cartridges of the time, allowing the user to carry just one type of ammunition for both rifle and pistol. These rifles were designed to be an improvement over its previous model the Winchester 1866, and just like its predecessor, quickly gained a reputation for accuracy and reliability. Uberti’s Model 1873 series of rifles are authentic reproductions down to the last detail, including an A-grade walnut stock, case-hardened parts, and side-mounted loading ports.
