"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: ""I’ve been wearing the Metropolis around town and during light travel hikes—it's super comfy with its roomy toe box and soft cushioning. The Vibram outsole is surprisingly grippy for urban terrain, and the suede upper adds style without feeling too precious. I also love how Zamberlan tied in sustainable materials without sacrificing performance.""From cobblestone streets to scenic byways, the Zamberlan Metropolis is our go-to for seamless transitions between travel, adventure, and everyday wear. Built in Italy with a commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability, this shoe merges classic outdoor pedigree with refined, urban-ready design. The Metropolis uses a Comfort Fit last for roomy forefoot space, paired with a Vibram® Bruce outsole that features up to 30% recycled rubber for trail-capable grip. Inside, the EVA wedge midsole cushions every step with 50% recycled foam, while the suede upper, treated with Hydrobloc®, adds water resistance and timeless style. Recycled mesh lining and laces reduce environmental impact, and a rubber toe cap offers extra protection when the road gets rough."
