The T-H Marine Thru-Hull Livewell Pump is self-priming and must be mounted below the waterline of your boat to pick up water. The pump should be mounted in the lowest area of the bilge possible, typically in a thru-transom configuration that allows for clearance for the electrical connections and the plumbing components. It is especially important to make sure that there is enough clearance for the pump housing from the thru-hull hole location.
