The external reservoirs increase fluid capacity and improve cooling, reducing the risk of cavitation or bubble in your fluid. Just like brakes, heat is the enemy of shock absorbers, if you keep them cool, they will provide more consistent performance, especially important for heavy bikes loaded with passengers and travel gear. Fox packs these shocks with two incredibly useful hydraulic adjustments Qs3, which is a 3 position compression damping arm and QSR which offers 3 rebound settings. The QS3 (Quick Switch Compression) damping lever is mounted right on the reservoir making for effortless adjustments between three specific settings: maximum comfort , extra support for hard acceleration, or most responsive for precise handling. These adjustments also come in handy when you pick up or drop off a passenger.
