"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I wore the TX4 EVO Approach Shoe on a full day of mixed terrain, from a long dirt approach to some easy scrambling near the summit. The Vibram Megagrip outsole handled every surface change without hesitation, and I never once felt like I was fighting the shoe for traction. The Traverse last kept my foot locked in and stable on the way back down, which is usually where my ankles start to feel the miles.""The approach is where the adventure actually begins, and the La Sportiva TX4 EVO Approach Shoe was built for every step of it. Whether you are covering miles of rocky trail on the way to a technical objective or picking your way up a scrambly ridgeline, this shoe places you right at the intersection of hiking comfort and climbing performance. The nubuck leather upper and recycled AirMesh lining keep things breathable and durable, while the wide forefoot construction gives your toes the real estate they need to stay comfortable across long days. La Sportiva engineered the TX4 EVO around their Traverse last and the STB Control System, a combination that creates a stable, responsive platform for technical movement without sacrificing all-day wearability. The Vibram Megagrip outsole with the Impact Brake System bites into both wet and dry rock with confidence, and the Climbing Zone Platform lets you smear and edge on easy routes without swapping shoes. The resole-ready ESS platform extends the life of the shoe significantly, and the use of recycled materials throughout means you are leaving a lighter footprint on the terrain you love."
