"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: ""I’ve been using this as a midlayer on cold tours and as an everyday overshirt around town. The 40g Spaceloft™ insulation adds real warmth without bulk, and the updated fit feels more streamlined and less boxy. The hand pockets were a great addition—it’s functional on the skin track and comfortable on road trips."" We love a piece that works just as well in the mountains as it does at the post-adventure hangout, and the Penny Insulated Flannel from Flylow hits that sweet spot. It has the familiar, broken-in feel of our favorite old flannel, but with enough warmth and structure to handle crisp trailheads, winter road trips, and chilly mornings in town. Underneath the soft polyester flannel exterior, 40 grams of Spaceloft™ insulation and a diamond-quilted interior trap heat without adding unnecessary bulk. Snap closures make for easy layering, while hand, chest, and interior zip pockets keep essentials secure. The updated, more contemporary fit and drop-tail hem deliver modern style and reliable coverage, making this a go-to midlayer for backcountry tours and a dependable everyday staple all season long."
