What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"This is the jacket I grab for cold, high-output days when I need serious warmth without bulk. The 800-fill down packs a ton of heat for the weight, and Omni-Heat(TM) Infinity noticeably boosts warmth by reflecting body heat back in. I like that it packs into its own pocket for easy stashing in my pack. Great as a standalone layer or paired with a shell in harsher weather."When the air thins and temperatures drop, we rely on the Alpine Crux III Down Jacket from Columbia to keep us moving confidently through cold, demanding conditions. Built for high-performance mountain pursuits, this lightweight insulator delivers exceptional warmth without weighing us down, making it a staple for alpine climbs, winter hikes, and frigid camp evenings. The 800-fill-power RDS-certified goose down provides premium loft and compressibility, while Omni-Heat(TM) Infinity lining uses an expanded pattern of gold thermal-reflective dots to maximize heat retention. HeatSeal(TM) no-stitch construction eliminates cold spots and enhances durability, and Omni-Shield(TM) technology repels light moisture and stains. Binding at the collar and cuffs, along with a drawcord-adjustable droptail hem, helps seal out drafts, while zip hand pockets secure essentials. Designed to pack into its own pocket, this jacket disappears into our pack until the moment we need dependable, high-efficiency warmth.
