"Men's New Balance® FuelCell 796v5: If you play pickleball and want a court shoe that keeps up with your movement, the Men's New Balance FuelCell 796v5 is worth a serious look. Built for players who prefer a neutral feel, it combines a propulsive FuelCell midsole with durable traction to help you move quickly and confidently through every point. At 10.1 ounces, it stays light on your feet without sacrificing the support you need for fast stops and sharp changes of direction. The synthetic and mesh upper keeps airflow moving through the shoe as the match heats up, so your feet stay comfortable during longer sessions. The FuelCell midsole gives the shoe an energetic, propulsive feel underfoot - you'll notice it most when you're pushing off to chase down a shot. NDurance rubber reinforces the outsole in high-wear zones, which means the shoe holds up through repeated lateral cuts and quick sprints to the kitchen line. Non-marking rubber makes it a clean choice for indoor courts, and the traditional lace-up closure locks your foot in place so you're not fighting your shoe when it matters most. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I put these on a customer who plays pickleball three times a week and was wearing out his court shoes fast. The NDurance outsole is the real story here - it holds up in the spots that usually go first. He also liked how the FuelCell midsole felt responsive without being stiff, which makes a difference when you're moving side to side all match long."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForIf you play pickleball and want a neutral court shoe that balances propulsive cushioning with durable grip, the New Balance FuelCell 796v5 is a strong fit. It works especially well for players who move aggressively on the court and need a shoe that can handle repeated lateral cuts without wearing down quickly. The lightweight build and breathable upper make it a good choice for players who log serious time on indoor courts.
