"Nike® Zoom Matumbo 3: The Nike® Zoom Matumbo 3 is a track and field spike built for middle- and long-distance racing, from 5,000 to 10,000 meters. It's light, low to the ground, and shaped to move with your foot - so when the gun goes off, you're not fighting your shoe to find your stride. The anatomical fit contours naturally to the foot, and at just 3.8 ounces, there's nothing slowing you down on the track. The four-pin horseshoe spike plate keeps you low and connected to the track surface, giving you the grip you need through every turn and straightaway. A Phylon midsole provides just enough cushioning to keep your legs fresh over longer race distances without adding unnecessary bulk. The single-layer Flymesh upper wraps the foot in a seamless, lightweight fit, while Dynamic Flywire cables lock your foot in place so nothing shifts mid-race. This is a racing spike that earns its place on race day by staying out of your way and letting you run.Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I put these on a customer who was training for a 10K track race and the first thing she said was how locked-in her foot felt without the shoe feeling stiff. The Flywire really does hold everything in place, and at 3.8 ounces you barely notice them on your foot. For the distance, that low-to-the-ground feel from the spike plate makes a real difference."" - Sabrina, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you compete in 5,000 or 10,000 meter track events and want a lightweight racing spike that keeps you close to the track with a secure, anatomical fit, the Zoom Matumbo 3 is worth a close look. It suits track and field athletes who want a low-profile ride, reliable traction from the horseshoe spike plate, and a snug lockdown feel without excess weight. Available in unisex sizing - women should size down two sizes from their standard running shoe size.
