"Men's Merrell® Speed Arc Matis: The Speed Arc Matis is a men's fast hiking shoe from Merrell that moves naturally between trail and everyday terrain - making it a solid pick if you want one shoe that handles both. It's built around a street-to-trail approach, with a FloatPro Foam midsole that keeps the ride light and comfortable over longer stretches, and a Vibram® MegaGrip outsole that holds its footing on both dry and wet surfaces. If you spend time on varied terrain and want a hiking sneaker that doesn't feel heavy or stiff, this one is worth a look.Under the hood, the FlexPlate technology gives the shoe torsional rigidity and lateral stability without sacrificing forefoot flexibility - so the shoe moves with you rather than fighting your stride. The breathable mesh upper and 100% recycled mesh lining keep airflow moving through the shoe, and Cleansport NXT™ treatment handles odor naturally over time. An integrated EVA foam insole adds a layer of underfoot comfort, and the 100% recycled mesh footbed cover keeps things fresh. Sizing runs up half, so if you're between sizes, going up is the right call. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really like how this shoe handles the transition from pavement to a dirt path without skipping a beat. The Vibram outsole grips well when things get uneven, and the FloatPro midsole keeps it feeling light even after a few hours on your feet. It's a great option for someone who doesn't want to swap shoes between the parking lot and the trail."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're looking for a men's hiking sneaker that handles both urban streets and natural trails without feeling like a compromise, the Speed Arc Matis is a strong fit.
