"Nike® Zoom Rival SD 2: The Nike® Zoom Rival SD 2 is a track and field throwing shoe built for athletes who compete in events like shot put, discus, and javelin. It's designed around a locked-down fit that keeps your foot secure through the rotational demands of the throwing circle, so you can focus on technique and power rather than your footing. The flexible, textured outsole helps you rotate quickly and maintain grip even in wet conditions - a real advantage when competition day weather doesn't cooperate. The no-sew synthetic upper wraps the foot without seams that could cause pressure points during competition, and an integrated arch strap cinches things down for a secure, competition-ready fit. Mesh panels on the vamp and quarter panels keep airflow moving through the upper. Underfoot, a Pebax® forefoot plate adds durability where you need it most, and a rubber toe tip reinforces the front of the shoe for the planting and forward movements that throwing events demand. Durable midsole foam rounds out the construction with lightweight cushioning that won't weigh you down on the field. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""When athletes come in looking for a throwing shoe, the first thing they ask about is stability in the circle - and the Zoom Rival SD 2 really delivers on that.
