The APA Gen 4 Micro Bastard in the 5/8×24 .30 Cal Stainless variant combines high-end engineering with practical usability for shooters building precision rifles. With 5/8×24 threading, this brake is suited to many .30-caliber barrels that require that thread pitch. The stainless-steel construction offers durability and a sleek finish. In the compact Micro size form, it remains light and minimally intrusive, making it ideal for sporter-weight or hunting barrels where added bulk is a concern. The self-timing lock-nut design ensures quick, repeatable installation without the fiddling of crush washers or shims. On the performance side, the Gen 4 features tunable top ports and updated internal manifold geometry that work together to deliver excellent recoil reduction, reduced muzzle rise, and a smoother shooting feel despite the smaller footprint. If you’re looking for a premium muzzle brake in a compact size for a .30-caliber precision build, this model is designed to deliver that balance.
