The Gen 4 Micro Bastard from American Precision Arms offers serious recoil mitigation in a clean, compact package tailored for .30-caliber barrels using 1/2×28 threading. Machined from stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance, the brake’s self-timing design simplifies installation—no crush washers or indexing shims required. The refined Bastard-style ports and the added tunable top ports of the Gen 4 series provide a flatter shooting experience, reduced vertical climb, and a smoother impulse, making it a strong choice for precision and hunting rifles where every ounce and inch matter.
