Serious long-range shooting demands a scope that delivers optically, mechanically, and practically — and the Athlon Cronus BTR Gen2 4.5-29x56mm APRS6 FFP IR MIL Riflescope checks every one of those boxes at a price point that makes premium performance genuinely accessible. The Athlon Cronus BTR Gen2 is built for precision rifle shooters and long-range hunters who want top-tier features without paying top-tier prices. The Athlon Cronus UHD optical system runs extra-low dispersion glass that significantly reduces chromatic aberration while delivering sharp, vibrant colors and outstanding image clarity across the full magnification range. At 29x, the image quality remains clean and detailed, supporting genuine precision work at extended distances. The Athlon Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 56mm objective lens gathers serious light for strong performance in the variable lighting conditions that long-range hunting and precision shooting regularly demand at the edges of the day. The illuminated etched-glass APRS6 MIL reticle in the Cronus scope sits on the first focal plane — growing and shrinking with the image as you adjust magnification so your subtensions remain accurate and usable at every power setting. At 4.5x, the reticle is fine enough for fast target engagement without obscuring the sight picture. At 29x, the references are precisely where they need to be for exact holdovers and wind calls without any recalculation. For MIL shooters who work across a range of distances and magnification settings, that FFP consistency is fundamental to how the scope performs in practice. The Athlon Cronus internal stainless-steel component turret design produces highly audible and tactile clicks that are easy to count and confirm in the field — precise, repeatable, and reliable under hard use.
