Geissele MRGG 7.62mm 16" Black Rifle 08-513B traces its lineage straight back to a SOCOM program — this is the civilian version of the Geissele MK1 MOD0, adopted and battle-proven as part of the Very Long-Range Semi-Automatic Sniper System requirement, chambered here in 7.62x51 NATO. This Geissele MRGG 308 build runs a 16" cold hammer forged, chrome-lined CRMOV barrel with a 1:8 twist, user-interchangeable with 6.5 Creedmoor for shooters who want one platform covering both chamberings. Geissele's Phased Array® gas system with Tri-Port™ metering keeps recoil impulse and cycling consistent across a rifle-length custom gas system, and a suppressor-ready flash hider handles muzzle device duty with or without a can attached. Billet upper and lower receivers, Type III hardcoat anodized, carry a fully ambidextrous control layout — dust-cover-actuated bolt catch and rearward release button included, the same reload-speed advantage found across Geissele's larger platforms. Inside, the Nanoweapon®-coated Reliability Enhanced BCG runs a forged Carpenter 158+ bolt, and the SSA-E two-stage trigger delivers a clean, repeatable break. The MK16 13.5" rail keeps optics and accessories mounted square, and a Magpul PRS Lite stock rounds out the ergonomics.
