Large-frame AR platforms tend to put more stress on a charging handle than people expect, especially under heavy recoil or repeated hard use. The Geissele SCH 5.56mm Black Super Charging Handle 05-313B was built specifically for that demand, engineered for large-frame A2/Bravo mil-spec AR-15 and AR-10 platforms where a flimsy handle just doesn't hold up over time. This Geissele Super charging handle starts with billet 7075-T6 aluminum, made in the USA, then gets finished in matte black Type III hard anodizing — a combination that resists wear, corrosion, and the kind of abuse that comes with high-round-count use. The large claw-style latches make the handle easy to find and grab quickly, even under stress or with gloves on, and stainless steel roller bearings keep the action smooth rather than gritty or stiff after repeated cycling. That's a detail a lot of standard charging handles skip entirely, and it shows the first time you actually feel the difference in how smoothly it runs. Ambidextrous extended latches mean it works the same whether you're right- or left-handed, so nobody's stuck compensating for a handle built around the other side. At roughly 3.3 ounces, it adds a bit more heft than smaller handles, but that extra material is exactly what gives this Geissele charging handle its durability advantage over lighter, less robust options. For anyone running a large-frame build hard — heavy recoil, high round counts, field conditions — this is a part built to match that level of use rather than becoming the first thing to wear out.
