Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Varmint Thumbhole Browning X-Bolt Rifle Stock Short Action Factory Barrel Channel Forest Camo. Our Varmint Thumbhole Browning X-Bolt Stocks sport a full-length action and are constructed of top-quality laminated hardwood that's dried to perfection. We molded the stock around an action that is CNC-machined layered and beaded. The hardwood varmint stock has a traditional thumbhole cutout and the action is splinter-free. Our varmint stock kits include a factory barrel channel but also have an adjustable length of pull. Stock kit number one features a wide cheek (short end) that allows the shooter to easily index the knobs of the stock and extract the cartridge. It also features a larger screw spacing than the factory receiver-end stocks. Stock number two features a raised recoil pad. Stock number two is the one used on Browning X-Bolt rifles. Stock number three is the one we used on the early model Addington that was produced before the adoption of the factory channel was widely used. Stock number three has a full boxwood forend and an elm forend. Stock number three has a cutout for a Harris bi-pod. Stock number three has an enlarged recoil pad to accommodate the bi-pod.
