Introducing the Low Snag Forward Assist (LSFA), a groundbreaking innovation born from the collaboration between Forward Controls Design (FCD) and Hodge Defense systems Inc. (HDSI). This forward assist is meticulously crafted to meet the needs of ambidextrous charging handle users, offering a seamless blend of functionality and design excellence. The LSFA addresses the common issue of snagging associated with traditional forward assists, particularly for those utilizing ambidextrous controls on AR-15/M16 platforms. By eliminating the rim found on conventional forward assists, the LSFA ensures a smooth operation without compromising on the essential surface area required for effective use. This design evolution is a testament to the shared vision and expertise of Jim Hodge and Jordan Bowles, who have long been at the forefront of innovative firearm component design. Constructed from CNC billet 4130 steel bar stock, the LSFA is heat treated and finished with a black nitride coating, ensuring durability and resilience under the most demanding conditions. The forward assist features a smooth top and bottom to minimize snagging, while the increased plunger surface area extends inward towards the bore, providing the optimal surface area favored by HDSI. This thoughtful design ensures that the LSFA remains snag-free, aligning with FCD's commitment to creating components that enhance the functionality of duty-grade, hard-use weapons. The LSFA is not just a product - it is a fusion of the best elements from FCD's LDFA and HDSI's Mod2 forward assists, embodying the meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality that both companies are renowned for. Proudly designed and manufactured in Texas, USA, the LSFA comes complete with roll pins and a forward assist spring, ready to enhance the performance of your AR-15/M16. Experience the next level of forward assist technology with the LSFA, where innovation meets reliability, ensuring your firearm is equipped for any challenge.
