The Umpqua Great Carpholio in Black, Size 4, delivers a slightly larger profile that's perfect for targeting bigger carp in deep or off-colored water. This size excels when casting to fish that are tailing in the mud or rooting through submerged vegetation. The fly's moderate weight and minimal splash ensure it lands softly and drops just enough to get in front of feeding fish without alerting them. Its black profile stands out clearly over light or mixed bottoms, and the legs give just enough twitch to invite an inspection-and a confident take.
