Sizes 4 and 6 cover classic mouse work: a size 4 for big rivers, lakes, and nighttime trophy hunts; a size 6 for smaller creeks or when fish want a subtler wake. Both wake easily on floating lines and short leaders. Keep the rod tip high to draw a steady "V", then interrupt with a twocount pause-most eats happen on the stall. In wood or grass lanes, feather the wake to crawl inches off the structure.
