A personal defense round, the Civil Defense line is lead-free and uses a monolithic nickel-plated copper fragmenting projectile with a deep cavity hollow point in a nickel-plated (brass) cartridge case. Civil Defense travels at approximately twice the speed of traditional lead based ammunition and delivers 30 to 40% more kinetic energy transfer than other leading ammunition.
