Mossberg 500 Field Features The Mossberg 500 Field is built around a fast cycling pump action chambered for 20 GA shells up to 3 giving hunters the flexibility to run standard or magnum loads depending on the game being pursued. A 26 barrel offers a balanced swing for wingshooting while still giving enough length for effective patterning at typical field distances making it a versatile choice across dove quail pheasant and waterfowl seasons alike. A blued metal finish provides classic good looks along with solid protection against rust in everyday field conditions standing up to rain mud and the general wear that comes with a season of hard hunting. Over 12 million 500 Series shotguns have been sold a testament to the platform s reputation for durability and simplicity and that widespread use means parts accessories and gunsmith familiarity are easy to come by for the life of the gun. A drilled and tapped receiver gives hunters the option to add an optic or mount down the road expanding the shotgun s usefulness for turkey hunting or slug applications where a red dot or scope improves precision on a single well placed shot. A wood stock adds traditional styling and a comfortable familiar feel for shooters who grew up around classic pump guns and it stands up well to years of use in the field. The front bead sight offers a simple fast aiming reference for wingshooting and other quick target scenarios keeping the shooter s focus on the target rather than the gun. The 5-round capacity means fewer reloads during an active hunt and for hunters wanting a dependable field ready pump shotgun backed by decades of proven performance the Mossberg 500 Field is available for sale at GrabAGun.
