Kimber Next Gen Custom Features The Kimber Next Gen Custom builds on the success of the 2K11 platform carrying forward several features that enhanced that pistol s performance into this updated steel frame 1911. An optics ready slide lets the shooter mount a red dot directly while an external extractor improves extraction reliability compared to older internal extractor designs. Internally a sloped disconnector ramp paired with Kimber s GT Trigger provides a crisp match grade trigger pull that serious shooters expect from a premium 1911. The pistol ships with an RMR adapter plate giving owners a direct path to mounting a red dot without sourcing a separate plate. Chambered in .45 ACP with a 5 inch barrel and a 1 in 16 inch twist rate the Next Gen Custom holds 7 rounds in the magazine for a 7+1 total capacity and ships with two magazines. The matte black finish covers a steel frame while front and rear slide serrations improve grip during manipulation. Black and red G10 grips provide a secure textured gripping surface and an ambidextrous thumb safety accommodates both right and left handed shooters. The Kimber Next Gen Custom gives 1911 enthusiasts a refined optics ready pistol built on proven match grade internals.
