HSM/Hunting Shack Match Features The HSM/Hunting Shack Match load is centered on a 52 grain jacketed hollow point boat tail bullet a design that pairs a sharply defined meplat with a tapered heel for consistent flight from the muzzle to the target. The boat tail profile reduces base drag in flight which helps the bullet retain velocity and resist wind drift better than a flat-base design of the same weight. At a muzzle velocity near 3207 feet per second this load is tuned to give shooters a flat predictable trajectory that simplifies holdovers at extended ranges. That combination of bullet design and velocity is why HSM markets this load specifically as a match round rather than a general-purpose plinking load. Every round in the box is loaded to the same specification so shooters can expect the kind of round-to-round consistency that group size depends on. The .223 Rem chambering keeps recoil light and allows for extended range sessions without excessive shooter fatigue making this load practical for long strings of fire during practice or competition. Fifty rounds ship per box giving shooters enough rounds to work through a full range session or a match string without constant reloading. The HSM Match .223 Rem 52 grain JHPBT is well suited to precision rifle competitors varmint hunters and any shooter who wants a dependable accurate load for their AR-platform or bolt-action .223 Rem rifle.
