Faxon Firearms Rimfire Barrel Features The Faxon Firearms Rimfire Straight Fluted Bull barrel is made in-house at Faxon s Cincinnati facility from raw 416R stainless steel bar stock using the same rigorous testing and quality control that built their reputation on AR and pistol barrels. A recessed target crown protects the muzzle crown from dings that can ruin accuracy while 6-groove rifling at a 1-16 twist stabilizes standard .22 LR ammunition consistently. Every barrel is Magnetic Particle Inspected before finishing to catch defects that would otherwise compromise reliability. The straight fluted bull contour trims weight from the typical factory 10/22 profile without sacrificing the rigidity that supports tighter groups. Finished in a durable Salt Bath Nitride coating this barrel resists surface wear and corrosion far better than an untreated factory barrel making it a good choice for range use in any weather. It is threaded 1/2x28 at the muzzle to accept a suppressor or muzzle device adding versatility for suppressed rimfire shooting. Designed specifically for the non-takedown Ruger 10/22 it is a direct fit for one of the most popular rimfire rifles on the market. Shooters looking to upgrade accuracy and shave weight from their 10/22 will find this barrel a straightforward well-engineered improvement.
