Forward Controls Design - Hand stop, MLOK - HSM, FDE

Product Description

HSM Hand Stop Overview Design Philosophy HSM is a standalone hand stop. From the start, it was deliberately engineered to be wider than the MLOK handguard mounting base, which measures 0.75". We saw no advantage in limiting the width when a broader profile allows for greater surface area and improved hand contact. HSM is 1.25" wide, delivering enhanced traction by increasing the amount of usable contact with the user's hand. The visible overhang on both sides of the HSM is intentional and part of the design. Functional Form The form of the HSM is dictated by its intended function. It features a subtle 10-degree angle with a flared base. Fluted sections along the sides are designed to give the user's fingertips a natural resting point. While this feature is less pronounced on the shorter HSM due to its length, it becomes significantly more effective on the short grip variant. Serrations on all six faces of the HSM provide excellent grip and control.
