The safety is marked ""SAFE READY"" with an ""R"" stamped on the back side and the magazine cutoff is marked ""ON OFF"" with an ""R"" stamp. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked ""SA"" and the top is marked with an ""HO 35"". The firing pin housing is marked ""R"". The bottom of the extractor is unmarked. The left side of the wrist is marked with a boxed ""FJA"" with the faint crossed cannons stamp. The bottom of the wrist has a circled ""P"" cartouche and the bottom of the forend has four stampings in front of the floorplate ""triangle 8, circle 16, square 81?, circle 6. The barrel bands are unmarked, and the nose cap is marked ""R"". The front sight is a blade pinned to a raised barrel-mounted base. The rear sight is an adjustable aperture sight marked from ""2-8"". The two-piece oil-stained wood stock has a straight grip, metal nose cap with bayonet lug, stacking loop, two barrel bands, two sling loops, two reinforcing pins, and a metal buttplate with a hinged door for storage."
