The Smith Enterprise Good Iron Muzzle brake is a 14 port brake, designed to be extremely stable during rapid fire. The Good Iron brake is constructed of 8620 steel and Mil-Spec phosphate coated for corrosion resistance and superior durability. The ports are arranged to reduce felt recoil and eliminate muzzle rise, the lower portion of the brake is closed to reducing the dust when firing prone. The brake installs on the standard M1 Garand front sight assembly and is locked in place by the gas plug
