What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I've worn the Cytal Carbon on fast road days and the carbon wing with Koridion core gives me confidence in the protection architecture that most helmets at this weight don't match. The airflow channels keep things genuinely cool on hot climbs, and at 250 grams in a medium it barely registers on the head - which is exactly what you want when the pace goes up."Fast road riding asks a lot of a helmet, and the POC Cytal Carbon Helmet is built to answer without hesitation. Whether the objective is a punishing gran fondo, a high-speed club ride, or pushing personal limits on a favorite climb, this helmet delivers pro-level performance in a package light enough to forget about and protective enough to trust completely. POC constructed the Cytal Carbon around an in-mold polycarbonate exterior shell bonded to an optimized EPS liner for a combination of structural stability and low weight. The standout feature is the integrated carbon wing with a Koridion core - a structural element that improves impact force distribution across the helmet while simultaneously contributing to the aerodynamic profile tested in the wind tunnel. Wide airflow channels and front open air-entry ports drive consistent ventilation across the head during high-output efforts and hot summer rides, keeping temperature regulated from the first climb to the final descent. The temple-to-temple rear fit adjustment system spans the back of the head for a secure, comfortable hold with added ventilation at the retention points. At 250 grams in a medium, the Cytal Carbon sits among the lightest options in the performance road category.
