When setting up a modern sporting rifle, the placement of your optic is just as important as the glass itself. The Vortex Viper Extended Cantilever 30mm Mount (MPN: CVP-30) is designed to fit a wide range of optics and rifles, making it a versatile upgrade for shooters who find themselves "crowding" their scope. By pushing the optic 2 inches forward, this Vortex Cantilever mount allows you to maintain a comfortable "nose-to-charging-handle" shooting position while ensuring you have a full, clear field of vision. It’s a simple upgrade that makes a massive difference in how your rifle handles during rapid transitions or long days at the range. Don't let the sleek profile fool you; this mount is built to handle the rigors of frequent use. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the CVP-30 offers a solid foundation without adding unnecessary bulk to your setup. The 1.435-inch height is specifically chosen to clear most top rails and charging handles, making it easy to achieve an ergonomic and comfortable shooting position from the first shot. Whether you are using a traditional bolt-action with a long rail or a modern carbine, the horizontally split rings simplify leveling and installing your 30mm scope. Consistency is the key to accuracy, and that starts with a secure attachment. To ensure your zero stays locked in, it is important to follow the correct Vortex Cantilever mount torque specifications. Vortex recommends 30 in-lbs for the base screws and 15–18 in-lbs for the ring cap screws. This ensures enough tension to withstand recoil without over-stressing your optic's main tube. Like all Vortex sport cantilever mount options, it is backed by the legendary VIP Warranty. At EuroOptic, we know that confidence in your gear is everything—trust the Vortex cantilever mount to keep you on target every time you pull the trigger.
