Kaw Valley Precision Linear Compensator Features The Kaw Valley Precision Linear Compensator redirects muzzle gas forward rather than to the sides a design approach that reduces the blast felt by shooters positioned nearby including on the firing line at a crowded range. This forward-venting design is particularly useful on a 450 Bushmaster platform where the larger cartridge can produce more noticeable recoil and muzzle blast than smaller calibers. At just 2 1/16 inches overall length and a .95 inch outside diameter the compensator adds minimal length to the barrel while still delivering its recoil-taming effect. Weighing only 2.9 oz it keeps the rifle s balance largely unaffected compared to heavier muzzle devices. Constructed from steel the compensator is treated with a Melonite QPQ heat treatment that leaves a durable Black QPQ surface finish resistant to wear and corrosion. This finish holds up to the heat and fouling that comes with repeated firing keeping the compensator functional over long-term use. The 11/16x24 threading matches the standard pattern used on many 450 Bushmaster barrels making installation straightforward for most owners. Shooters looking for a lightweight durable way to manage recoil and reduce side blast will find this compensator a practical muzzle device upgrade.
