CMMG Banshee MK3 Complete Upper Features The CMMG Banshee MK3 Complete Upper is chambered in 8.6 Blackout a cartridge built for serious knockdown power at moderate range and the 12.5 inch barrel keeps the package compact enough for maneuverability. A quick 1:3 twist rate is specifically matched to stabilize the heavier bullet weights typical of 8.6 Blackout loads ensuring consistent accuracy downrange. Built on CMMG s Mk3 platform which traces its receiver pattern back to the popular DPMS Gen 1 high-pattern LR308 design the upper is compatible with the broad ecosystem of parts and magazines built around that footprint. This compatibility makes it a practical option for shooters who already own an LR308-pattern lower and want to add a new chambering without building an entirely new rifle. The Black Armor Cerakote finish on the receiver provides a durable corrosion-resistant coating that stands up to hard use in the field or at the range. Because this is a complete upper it arrives ready to drop onto a compatible stripped lower simplifying the process of adding 8.6 Blackout capability to an existing collection. The shorter 12.5 inch barrel length keeps the overall rifle maneuverable for hunting or home defense applications where a shorter platform is an advantage. For AR-platform shooters looking to add a hard-hitting purpose-built 8.6 Blackout upper to their lineup the CMMG Banshee MK3 delivers a proven receiver pattern paired with a cartridge built for power.
