Arsenal SM-23 Features The Arsenal SM-23 Scope Mount is machined from a single piece of aircraft grade aluminum and hard anodized for maximum strength and wear resistance giving it the durability to stand up to repeated removal and reinstallation. Weighing only 5.43 ounces thanks to lightening cuts on the front of the mount the SM-23 adds minimal bulk to an AK pattern rifle while still providing a rock solid optic platform. Its steel adjustable locking mechanism uses a tension adjustable quick release system that delivers repeatable zero retention even after the mount has been removed and reinstalled multiple times. Unlike mounts that rely on unstable top covers or gas tubes the SM-23 secures directly to the AK s side scope rail the most stable mounting point available on the platform. A 19 slot Picatinny rail extends over 7.5 inches giving shooters the flexibility to mount multiple accessories simultaneously or position a single optic for optimal eye relief. A relief cut along the rail preserves the use of iron sights even while the mount is installed keeping backup sighting options available. Updated cutouts on the front of this second generation mount reduce weight compared to earlier Arsenal mounts while a redesigned rear makes placement smoother and quicker. The mount also fits VEPR rifles and RPKs thanks to a cutout on the back allowing use with folding stocks. Finished in a durable black anodized coating the SM-23 is the go to optic mount for AK enthusiasts and professionals who demand reliable repeatable performance.
