In this rifle it gives you a practical, accurate option for the game and distances the cartridge is suited to, and you can find factory loads for it at nearly any sporting goods counter.Care and Setup TipsWeatherby rifles are made to be carried and shot in real hunting conditions. Before your season, mount a quality scope in solid rings and bases, zero at the distance you expect to shoot, and confirm your point of impact with the exact factory load you plan to hunt with. Practice from field positions such as sitting, kneeling and off shooting sticks, not just the bench, so that the rifle's accuracy carries over to the shot that counts.Clean the bore after each range session or wet hunt, keep a light coat of oil on exposed metal, and store the rifle in a dry place. Check action screws and scope mounts before every season, since a loose screw is one of the most common causes of a wandering zero. With basic care, a Weatherby rifle will give generations of reliable service. Is It Right for You?Browse more Weatherby firearms and ammunition or compare other bolt action rifles.Product SpecificationsManufacturer: WeatherbyModel: Vanguard ObsidianPart Number: VTX256RR4TUPC: 747115454372Caliber: 25-06 RemAction: Bolt ActionCapacity: 5+1Barrel Length: 24 in.Twist Rate: 1:10Barrel Contour: #2Muzzle Thread: 1/2-28Finish: Barrel/Receiver/Bolt/Bolt Knob/Safety: blued; Stock: Black polymer Monte Carlo stockLength of Pull: 13.5 inDrop at Comb: .75 inDrop at Heel: 1.25 inOverall Length: 44.5 inWeight: 7.5 lbHand: Right HandFrequently Asked QuestionsWhat is the capacity?5+1, per Weatherby. What is the barrel length?24 inches. What is the twist rate?1:10.Is the barrel threaded?Yes, 1/2-28.Does it come with a scope or sights? No scope is included.
