Vortex Triumph HD 850 Laser Rangefinder The Vortex Triumph HD 850 is a compact, lightweight laser rangefinder built for deer hunters, both rifle and bow. It gives fast, accurate readings out to 850 yards on reflective targets, with ranging and target modes picked for the way most whitetail hunts actually play out, from thick woods to open fields. Ranging That Fits the Hunt Horizontal Component Distance (HCD) mode shows the angle-compensated distance to your target, the number you need for a clean shot from a treestand or across steep ground. Line of Sight (LOS) mode shows the actual straight-line range, and Scan gives continuous readings as you pan across a field or ridge so you can plan a stalk or mark landmarks before the deer show up. Max angle reading is plus or minus 89 degrees, and accuracy is within half a yard at 100 yards. Target Modes Normal: returns the strongest range result and fits most situations. First: shows the closest distance, useful for ranging a deer standing in front of a larger or more reflective background. Last: shows the farthest distance, useful for ranging through brush, branches or tall grass to the animal behind it. HD Optics in a Pocket-Sized Body The 5x HD optical system uses select glass elements to cut chromatic aberration and give a sharp, true-color view edge to edge, and fully multi-coated lenses help in low light at dawn and dusk. The black LCD display is easy to read in bright sun, and you can range in yards or meters. At 3.8 inches long and 4.6 ounces, it rides in a pocket or the included soft case without getting in the way. The soft-touch exterior keeps a solid grip in rain or with gloves, and the unit is waterproof and shockproof.
