The Trijicon RMR Type 2 Automatic Brightness Red Dot Sight with a 3.25 MOA red dot reticle stands as the gold standard in rugged, reliable pistol optics, delivering battle-proven performance in a compact, low-profile package ideal for duty, competition, and concealed carry setups. Featuring an automatic LED illumination system with a built-in sensor that instantly adjusts brightness to ambient light conditions, this sight ensures the crisp 3.25 MOA dot remains perfectly visible from bright sunlight to low-light scenarios without manual intervention. The versatile 3.25 MOA dot size strikes an optimal balance-small enough for precise shots at extended ranges yet large enough for rapid target acquisition and both-eyes-open shooting-making it the most popular choice among RMR users for its all-around effectiveness. Built with a patented forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing designed to absorb impacts and divert stress away from the lens, the RMR Type 2 offers unmatched durability, including waterproofing to 66 feet (20 meters) and resistance to extreme conditions. Powered by a single CR2032 lithium battery, it provides up to 2 years of typical use or 5 years in dark storage, with parallax-free viewing through multi-coated tempered glass for true-color clarity and unlimited eye relief. Easy side-mounted controls allow quick power adjustments, though the automatic mode handles most situations seamlessly, and 1 MOA click adjustments (with 150 MOA total travel) enable precise zeroing without tools. This Type 2 upgrade maintains the classic RMR footprint for broad compatibility with adapter plates, pistol slides, and mounts, while incorporating improved electronics and protective features for slide-mounted reliability. At just 1.8" x 1.1" x 1.0" and 1.2 oz (with battery), it adds minimal weight and bulk, preserving natural pistol handling and draw speed. Whether enhancing your defensive handgun, rifle, or carbine, the Trijicon RMR Type 2 Automatic with 3.25 MOA dot combines legendary toughness, optical excellence, and user-friendly automation for confident performance in any environment.
