Springfield Armory 1911 Operator .45 ACP 5" Black w/ Aimpoint COA Pistol The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator .45 ACP COA (PO9230COA) is a 5" railed Operator with an Aimpoint COA red dot already installed on a factory A-CUT slide. It is a rugged, rail-equipped .45 1911 that is ready for a light and a dot. Optic included: the Aimpoint COA closed-emitter red dot comes pre-installed. A-CUT direct mount: the slide is milled for the Aimpoint A-CUT interface, so the optic sits low and holds zero. Railed frame: mount a weapon light on the integrated accessory rail. VZ G10 grips: durable, textured G10 panels. Operator Toughness, Factory Red Dot The Operator is Springfield's railed, working-gun 1911. The forged carbon steel slide and frame wear black Cerakote, the 5" forged stainless match-grade barrel has a 1:16 twist, the recoil system is GI-style, and VZ Grips G10 panels give a secure hold. COA refers to the Aimpoint COA optic, not a compensator. The A-CUT interface uses a full-length dovetail with a front hook and rear wedge for strong zero retention, and the low mount co-witnesses with the black front and rear irons. The optic is the Aimpoint COA, a closed-emitter red dot with a 3.5 MOA dot, 7075-T6 aluminum housing, 15x15mm lens, more than five years of rated runtime on one CR2032, and submersion rating to 25 meters. For a .45 ACP 1911 that is set up for a light and an optic from the factory, the Operator COA is hard to beat. BattleHawk Armory ships it to your local FFL.
