The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp 9mm redefines the double-stack 1911 with an integrally compensated 5" match-grade bull barrel that dramatically cuts muzzle rise for lightning-fast follow-up shots. Built on a forged steel frame with black Cerakote and a rugged polymer grip module, it delivers high-capacity reliability-17+1 or 20+1 rounds-while weighing only 33 oz. The AOS optics-ready slide accepts popular red dots via modular plates with co-witness rear sights, and a full-length Picatinny rail stands ready for lights or lasers. Every Gear-Up model ships factory-equipped with the brilliant Viridian RFX11 green dot (Instant-On, 30,000-hour battery life), three 17-round magazines, one 20-round magazine, and a padded nylon range bag. With its 2-piece full-length guide rod, aggressive texturing, and crisp single-action trigger, the Prodigy Comp offers competition-level performance in a duty-capable package.
