Shadow Systems CR920XL Elite Blem, 9mm Luger, 4.18" Bronze TiCN Barrel, 15+1, Black Nitride, Optics Ready Pistol The Shadow Systems CR920XL Elite is the long-slide, full-grip member of the slim CR family: a 9mm Luger carry pistol with a 4.18" match-grade barrel, 15+1 capacity and the Elite slide treatment that Shadow Systems is known for. This listing is part number SS-5027-B, the factory blem version of the bronze-barrel, black-frame CR920XL Elite. A blem is a new pistol that leaves the factory with minor cosmetic marks in the finish, which makes it a practical way to put a premium carry gun in your holster for less than a standard first-quality example. At BattleHawk Armory we carry the full CR920XL Elite range, so if you would rather have a first-quality example you can compare this blem with the standard CR920XL Elite with the bronze barrel or the CR920XL Elite with a black barrel. Why Buy the CR920XL Elite Slim but full size where it counts: a 0.86" wide frame with a full firing grip and a 4.18" barrel for a longer sight radius. 15+1 capacity: the extended grip is built around Shadow Systems' flush-fit 15-round steel magazine. Optics ready out of the box: the patented direct-mount optic cut accepts multiple red dot footprints without an adapter plate. Elite slide machining: front, rear and top directional serrations plus a weight-saving window cut that shows off the bronze barrel. Match-grade Bronze TiCN barrel: built for the accuracy expected from the Elite line. Night-ready sights: a green-outline tritium front sight over a serrated steel rear. A Slim Carry Pistol With a Full Grip The CR series was designed around concealed carry, and the CR920XL takes that thin profile and stretches it in the two directions shooters ask for most. The grip is extended to hold a full firing hand and 15 rounds, and the slide and barrel are lengthened for better balance, a longer sight radius and more velocity. The result is a pistol that carries much like a slimline subcompact but shoots more like a compact. Shadow Systems lists the CR920XL as fitting G48-pattern holsters, which opens up a wide choice of carry options. The black polymer frame has a beavertail that lets you get high on the grip, aggressive texturing for a secure hold, and an accessory rail for a weapon light or laser. Up top, the Black Nitride stainless steel slide wears the Elite cut pattern, and the window cut exposes the Bronze TiCN barrel for a look that stands out on the range or at the counter. Optic System and Sights Red dots have become the standard on modern carry pistols, and the CR920XL Elite is ready for one from day one. Shadow Systems' direct-mount optic cut is designed for multiple footprints and uses long, high-strength screws, so the optic sits low and stays put without a plate stacking up height. Until you mount a dot, or as a backup once you do, the green-outline tritium front sight and serrated steel rear give you a clear sight picture in daylight and low light. Trigger and Shootability The CR920XL Elite uses a polymer flat-faced trigger with a 4.5 to 5.0 lb pull. The flat face puts your finger in the same place on every press, which helps keep shots consistent at speed. Together with the longer barrel, the full grip and the 20.7 oz unloaded weight, this is a pistol that is easy to shoot well for a long range session and still comfortable to carry all day. What Blem Means Blem pistols are sold by the factory with small cosmetic imperfections such as light marks, scuffs or uneven areas in the finish. The marks vary from gun to gun, so the pistol you receive may not look exactly like the product photos. If a flawless finish matters to you, choose a standard first-quality CR920XL Elite; if you want the same platform for carry or training and do not mind a few cosmetic marks, the blem is a smart buy.
