The Ruger American Rifle Gen II Ranch chambered in 6mm ARC is a compact, precision-oriented bolt-action rifle designed for shooters who demand modern performance in a highly maneuverable platform. Built around Ruger's proven American Rifle action, the Gen II Ranch variant blends enhanced ergonomics, advanced barrel technology, and practical field-ready features to create a rifle equally suited for hunting, suppressed shooting, or precision work on the range. At the heart of the rifle is a 16.1-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with a medium contour and deep spiral fluting. This design maintains stiffness for accuracy while reducing forward weight to improve balance and handling. The barrel is factory threaded and fitted with a radial port muzzle brake, helping manage recoil while preserving the cartridge's excellent ballistic efficiency. The rifle's FDE splatter-finished stock provides a secure grip without harsh texturing, ensuring confident handling in wet or dusty conditions. Combined with a durable Cerakote finish applied to the barrel, receiver, muzzle brake, and bolt handle, the platform is built to resist corrosion, abrasion, and the rigors of field use. The 6mm ARC chambering has quickly become a favorite among precision-minded shooters due to its exceptional ballistic performance, flat trajectory, and manageable recoil. When paired with the compact Ranch platform, it delivers impressive downrange capability while maintaining the portability needed for hunting in tight terrain or mobile shooting scenarios. Ruger designed the Gen II platform with a strong emphasis on fit and shooter ergonomics. The stock includes an adjustable length of pull, allowing shooters to remove the installed spacer to shorten the length from 13.75 inches to 12 inches, with additional spacers available for a more customized fit. An interchangeable comb system further refines the rifle's adaptability-offering improved cheek weld for magnified optics while allowing easy removal for lower-mounted sight systems. Accuracy is reinforced through Ruger's Power Bedding(TM) system, which uses an integral bedding block to precisely locate the receiver while allowing the barrel to free-float. This design minimizes stress on the action and promotes consistent shot placement.
